Airplane Landing Games – A Video Review of the Best Airplane Game in the Market

airplane landing games

I have been looking around for ages to find a realistic airplane landing game and eventually I stumbled upon one that was truly realistic that gave me the feeling that I was the actual pilot landing the airplane. I have played numerous other free airplane landing games before but none of them gave the real life feel that I wanted. That was the case until I found a new game called Pro-Flight Simulator, developed by Dan Freeman a keen flight enthusiast. This new airplane landing game was different because the graphics were awesome and I mean it was so life-like that I felt I was inside the cockpit of an actual Boeing 747. You can see for yourself how realistic this airplane game is by watching some of the video clips I have collected from the game.

In this video review I give you my take on Pro-Flight Simulator, the latest game for flight enthusiasts and fans of airplane games. I show you the realism of the graphics, terrains, the type and number of airplanes and airports, the configuration options and how close the sensation is to flying an airplane in real life. Videos of other flight fans who have also tried out this latest game are shown here as well.

Control Column and Cockpit

Unlike other free airplane landing games where you only have a few controls to look out for such as the air speed and the angle of decent, this landing game contained a fully featured cockpit with so many different controls to monitor.  The designer of the program have been faithful to all the instrumentation that exists in the cockpit of real airplanes and have made sure that the layout and look of each control unit is what they are actually like in real life which gives the game a lot of authenticity.

Choice of Airplanes

I found to my pleasant surprise that the game also gives you the option of choosing which type of airplane you want to fly or land. It gives you a choice of over 120 different airplanes to fly including the A320, Airbus 380, Boeing 747, the 777 and various military fighters and light singles. As an added bonus you can also fly and land different helicopters including the latest military Westland Lynx. I found that no other airplane landing game that I have come across gave you the biggest number of choices in selecting which airplane you choose to fly. For certain, it is the only airplane game that also gives you a choice of the latest helicopters to fly as an added bonus.

Graphics and Sound

I have played other airplane landing games but I found that the free airplane games that I have played to be lacking in one way or another. Sometimes the graphics were too simple which you might find in kids games or the sound quality was poor or unnatural. But in this game both the graphics and sound quality came together in a superb way which makes flying an airplane so genuine. I thought the vibration and humming of the sound when I was flying the 747 reflected truly the sound I hear when I am a passenger in one.

Extra Features: Multiplayer Option, Choice of Airports, Real World Scenery, Terrains and Weather Conditions

There are a number of extra features that this game has and which makes it fly above other airplane landing games on the market. It has a multi-player option which allows you to fly with other flight fans from around the world – you can fly in formation, do acrobatics or do air to air refuelling. You also have the option of landing in over 20,000 real world airports or land on an aircraft carrier such as the Nimitz or on the Eisenhower. There is also accurate worldwide scenery coverage of the entire world allowing you to choose the type of terrain you operate in. The best thing I like about this game is that everything looks and sound so realistic and genuine including the scenery that you often forget that you are in a game and that you are the actual pilot controlling the aircraft.

CONCLUSION

This game is not for kids since it is designed for adults who are genuine flight enthusiasts and who want to feel what it is really like to fly and land an airplane. It gives you a wide array of choices and you can choose the airplane you fly, the terrain, the airport, weather conditions and if you want to fly at night or day. The many combination of choices mean that you can train for whatever scenario you want to fly in.
